Underground Tape - Caution - High Voltage Cable Below - Safety Product

Alert workers and contractors to the presence of buried high-voltage electrical cables. Its primary purpose is to prevent accidental contact during excavation, drilling, or construction, which could result in serious injury, electrocution, equipment damage, or power outages. The tape is typically brightly coloured, often red or orange, with bold lettering, ensuring high visibility even when partially buried.

The tape is placed directly above the buried high-voltage cable but below the surface, usually at a depth of 12 18 inches. This placement ensures that anyone digging in the area will encounter the tape before reaching the cable itself, providing an early warning to stop and take necessary precautions. It serves as a critical safety measure, reducing the risk of accidents and protecting workers and infrastructure.

Caution High Voltage Cable Below Underground Tape is also used for utility management and site planning. By marking the location of high-voltage lines, it helps construction crews, landscapers, and maintenance personnel plan excavation work safely. It also facilitates accurate documentation of underground utilities for future projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
