New road sign missing F - Reads "Chelmsord"
Welcome to 2024 - didn't take us long to find a reason why you should consider using ourselves for supplying you with all your safety and traffic signage.
These types errors are so easily avoidable if councils were to start putting their trust in professionals. This spelling mistake was spotted on a new large city road sign. The sign on the A131, on the outskirts of Chelmsford, and shows the city as "Chelmsord" without the "F".
Essex County Council apologised to residents for the "unfortunate mistake". It confirmed the error was not present at the design stage, but appeared during printing (how? is what i'm wondering) and that a replacement sign will be "installed as soon as possible".
If you sell signs then you may want to consider using ourselves to supply you with all your requirements. We give an "F" for all our trade partners. Caledonia will never FAIL to provide you technically correct signs at all times (unlike the one in this article).
